Draw a Three Hour Circle on a Map

On your mini map in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, you can meet three different circles. I will explicate the meaning of these hither, and how you can and should use them. (If you by any take chances cannot see the mini map, printing the "thousand" key to turn it on.)
This is a screenshot of a mini map:

As yous can see, there are iii circles on information technology:

  1. The closest circle, which is light-green, shows your electric current view range. Any enemy tank inside that circle, will exist visible to you lot and your squad mates, unless the tank is backside a rock or building, or if it is inside a bush.
  2. The middle circumvolve, the white 1, shows the maximum view range in the game, which is 454 meters. If you take a good crew, and a tank with good view range, the greenish and white circle will have the same distance from your tank. (They show almost as i circle.)
  3. The 3rd circle is the render range, which is the range where tanks spotted by one of your teammates will be visible also to you, even if the tank is outside your view range.

I have placed some dots in the mini map. Let'south talk near these. (Let'southward presuppose that neither the enemy tanks nor your tank is behind a firm or in a bush-league.)  Your tank is in the center of the mini map, marked with a white arrow.

  1. The purple dot illustrates a tank ("the regal tank") that you can spot by yourself, since it is inside your view range. At the same fourth dimension, that tank will most probable see you, because it is and so close to you. This means that all enemy tanks within your render range volition also exist able to see you, even if they can't spot you. The tanks represented by the yellow and blue dots will exist able to run into you lot and shoot at yous. The same volition apply for the royal tank: Whatsoever tank on your squad that has a render range which covers the purple dot, can shoot at the royal tank.
  2. The yellow dot represents a tank ("the yellow tank")  which is inside the maximum view range (454 meters). Since your view range is and then curt, since yous tin only spot tanks within the green circle, you cannot run across the yellow tank. Simply if that tank has a good view range and the crew are expert, the yellow tank might see you, If the xanthous tank tin see you, all enemy tanks inside your render range will likewise be able to meet yous, even if they can't spot y'all. So the blueish tank will also exist able to shoot a you.
  3. The bluish tank is outside the maximum view range in the game. No matter how long that tanks' view range is, you will stay invisible for the blue tank, even if yous shoot at him. If the yellow tank is on your team, the yellow tank will probably spot and lite upwards the blue tank, and you tin shoot at it.
  4. The cherry tank is exterior the render range. If the blue tank is on your squad, and spot and light up the red tank you cannot run across it. You can try to guess where the red tank is, and shoot in that direction, just it is most frequently difficult to hit it.

Well, then. How can you use these circles? Here are some general advice;

  • It is condom to fire at the blue tank, unless there is some other – invisible – enemy tank betwixt you and the blue tank. The invisible tank might lite you upward and fire back at you lot.
  • It is not at all safe to shoot at the purple tank, unless you tin fire a shot and become back into comprehend before it tin shoot back.
  • The aforementioned applies for the yellow tank: It might run across you, even if you tin't see it. If a squad member spots the yellow tank and draws information technology's attention away from you, it is safer to shoot at information technology, even if it might see y'all.
  • It you are in a lightly armored tanks destroyer, try to stay at medium range from any light tanks that tin lite upward targets for you. Then you lot tin often fire without to much take chances of beingness seen and striking past your target. Tanks between the white and yellow circles can't come across yous, so y'all tin fire at them without risk. (But it might be difficult to hit them at long range.)
  • If you lot play a calorie-free tank, and low-cal upwardly an enemy tank and i of your team mates amercement information technology, you will get one-half of the experience earned for that damage. So you lot should stay then far alee of your team that yous can light upwardly enemy tanks for them, only no so far alee that the tanks yous spot are outside your team mates return range. They won't be able to come across what yous low-cal upward for them.
  • If yous can spot and damage "your ain" targets, your experience volition go upwardly. Therefore you lot should use equipment and crew skills to maximize your view range. Apply either "Binoculars" or "Coated optics". Give your commander the "Recon" skill and your radio operator the "Situational sensation" skill. (Brothers in artillery will also help, simply merely if all of your crew member have that perk.)
  • Remember that as a rule, college tier tanks take better view range than lower tier tanks.
